Congratulations to the following students for going above and beyond in helping others:
They shared their good works and community involvement with us! Community service for students has been shown to increase social awareness and responsibility as well. Their commitment to school and non-school (church, Salvation Army, etc...) volunteer projects and/or activities helped to make our school, community, and city great. These students will receive a Community Service Learning (CSL) credit on their transcript and will receive a kelly green (community) and gold (Watson Chapel HS) honor cord. The CSL credit is great for colleges and works in their favor for consideration for scholarships and awards. We are proud of you!
The deadline is April 29 to receive an honor cord if you still have your form. Seniors, please complete and turn in your form with the required signatures by the deadline. Any questions, please see Ms. King ASAP. I will announce the distribution of cords at a later date.
